Chanwoo Lee, our 4th-year PhD student, received the 2022 Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) Hannan Travel Award to attend JSM. Lee received the award in recognition for his paper with Prof. Miaoyan Wang on smooth tensor estimation with unknown permutations.
Steven Moen, our 2nd-year PhD student, received the ASA John J. Bartko Award to attend the Conference on Statistical Practice. Moen received the award in recognition for his collaboration with Russell Green, an economist at International Monetary Fund.
