Steven Moen

My current research interests lie at the intersection of statistics and financial economics and I am currently working on several papers in that area. I earned a B.A. in Statistics and Mathematical Economic Analysis with Distinction in Research and Creative Works from Rice University in 2014, and an M.S. in Statistics from the University of Chicago in 2020. I also recently passed the CFA Level III exam. After graduating from Rice, I worked for four years as a Business Analyst at Capital One in Plano, Texas where I worked primarily in managing credit risk for a $50B+ auto loan portfolio, which has helped to shape my interests in improving risk management. In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting and jazz piano!
