I specialize in causal inference for observational panel data, with a focus on synthetic control methods and their augmentation, working with Professor Jiwei Zhao. My research centers on constructing credible counterfactuals when exact pre-treatment balance is infeasible, emphasizing bias correction, extrapolation, and the trade-off between matching and modeling.
My work aims to improve the reliability of policy evaluation and decision-making in complex, real-world contexts where randomized experiments are not feasible.
