As an educator, Professor Zhang has consistently demonstrated a commitment to the highest standards of teaching. His students fondly remember his engaging lectures, filled with anecdotes that brought complex concepts to life. Many students have gone on to build successful careers of their own, and they often attribute their success to the solid foundation provided by Professor Zhang’s mentorship.
As we bid farewell to Professor Zhengjun Zhang, we are reminded of the Chinese proverb, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” As he embarks on this new chapter of his life, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible journey he has shared with us at UW Madison. We wish him a very happy retirement filled with new adventures, cherished memories, and the knowledge that he has made a lasting impact on the lives of so many.
