I am Professor of Biostatistics and Statistics (affiliate) and serve as Director of the Clinical Trials Program in the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics. I serve as PI of several data coordinating centers (DCCs) of NIH-funded randomized controlled trials and the Data Management, Auditing, and Coordinating Center of the Cancer Prevention Clinical Trials Network (CP-CTNet), a program of the Division of Cancer Prevention, National Cancer Institute. My research interest is in all things related to statistical methods for clinical trials and to clinical medicine. I have a statistical research program in analysis of complex time to event data and clustered data and an applied collaborative research program in cancer chemoprevention, cancer immunology and tumor immunotherapy, clinical oncology/hematology, infectious diseases, and cardiovascular disease. I have worked on randomized controlled trials in many other disease areas, including rare genetic disorders.
